MDC in the Community in 2023
Throughout 2023 the MDC has been involved in the communities throughout Bernalillo. Below are some more of the things we’ve been up to over the last year.
Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta
In October the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta creates an enchanted sky of balloons. MDC came to have a share in this community event that celebrates the most beautiful time of the year in New Mexico.
Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office’s Trunk or Treat!
The Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center Recruiting team had a blast handing out candy at Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office’s first ever Trunk or Treat! This Halloween-themed event was open to all ages and had activities and attractions for everyone to enjoy.
2023 Sugar Skull Fun Run
The MDC got our running shoes ready for the annual Sugar Skull Fun Run. This 5K run/walk was held at Tingley Drive in Albuquerque and saw a range of community members and their pets. MDC staff enjoyed the brisk run in the brisk air!
